It was already over one o´clock. Most of the group was complaining because they were hungry. When they saw this poster they said: teacher or sir, when are we going to EAT?

The plane had already landed and were in the process of crossing the airfield. Juan-José, the other teacher was looking at the sky to make sure no other plane was going to land.

Happily we reached the other side safe and sound.

We are just in the middle of the airfield runway. Just then Javier Salinas, another teacher of English in our scool, phoned me. How are you doing? He said. We were lucky that the had already landed.

The first thing we come across after crossing the border is the airport runway. It is the only airport in the world ! We had to wait for about twenty minutes for an aircraft to land and taxi near us.

José was very excited. He wanted me to take a shot of him to prove that he had been abroad (?). Well, so I did. The first British sign we came across was the phone box. He didn´t need it because he had his brand new mobile with him.

An informal welcome to the Rock

The " llanitos ", as the inhabitants of Gibraltar are called, are very happy to have all of us there and contribute to his standard of living. How? Spending our Euros or Pounds on their shops and on the Cable car. We didn´t see the dolphins , however we had an interesting experience with the apes up on top of the Rock.

Once inside, I (the teacher is never in the shots) took a pic of the whole group. There should be twenty-five students. Can you count them? Who is missing? Juan-José ? Leah ? Me? José?

Jesús is very happy, although coming back he wasn´t that happy. He got lost in Gibraltar ! The teacher had to rescue him and his friend Thomas.

They are holding the project to complete during the visit, but what happened ? Ask them.

Getting ready to cross the border

It was 11:30, on Friday 17th October 2008. We were there ready with our NIC (DNI in Spanish) or passport for passport control. The Rock can be seen very clearly and the dividing line between Spain and ?????Spain(?)

After the first group shot, we all got onto the minibus. Andrea from the group ( in the middle) was very happy and excited. Did she enjoy the trip? We will see. Alberto is watching and making sure the won´t go back to Granada.

THE BEGINNING

It was our first stop to have a coffee and go to the toilets. We were going to Gibraltar to spend the day visiting the Rock. It takes about three and a half hours to get there by coach. The group, twenty-five students, two teachers and Leah, an assitant teacher from Virgina ,USA. She was very excited and so the whole party.
